"Demon Heart" is an incredibly interesting and compelling novel that follows on from the events of the first volume. I recommend listening to the books in order. Wade and Caleb are able to strengthen their relationship while more and more intangible things are happening around them. The magical world is turned upside down and a battle may be imminent. But who will be on whose side and what will happen in the end?
The story was fast-paced, exciting and full of action and mystery. I liked the intrigue, which is easy to understand if you know the events from the previous volume. The secondary characters were also interesting and I liked them.
What a roller coaster ride of emotions! It was a pleasure to listen to the story and it was very entertaining.

I listened to the audiobook in just one day and I need the next volume immediately. John York was great. He has a pleasant voice and I could distinguish the characters well. He did a varied reading and brought the story to life.

Caleb and Wade's relationship is continuing to grow and become stronger. While this is happening, the world around them seems to be on the edge of an eruption that will leave things even more dangerous than ever before. Hang on tight. It's going to get rocky.

Excellent second book in the series! You would think after surviving the challenges of the first book (Killer Heart) that Caleb and Wade would have time to recover and solidify their relationship. Right? Nope. More trials and challenges, action and drama, mystery and mayhem, and plenty of surprises fuel this book. I loved the way Caleb and Wade hung on together through it all. You could probably enjoy this audiobook as a stand alone, as I think there is enough background, but I recommend listening to (or reading) Killer Heart first. I can't wait to see what happens to Caleb and Wade next.

John York continues his excellent work voicing Wade and Caleb (and all the other characters), giving each a distinct voice and personality. I love Caleb's sass and snark, and Wade's (sometimes overbearing) protectiveness.

Story: The characters, the lore and the whole story all check out! The story is gripping and the setting is a true cherry on the cake. I love how wholesome the author made the books feel!
