About this listen

A famous singer. Homicide by hanging. Can this investigator stop an encore performance of murder?

The rugged hills and dales have finally found their way into DCI Harry Grimm’s heart. Having accepted a permanent position, he’s concentrating on building his team and keeping them focused on solving cases with painstaking police work. But he’s pulled into a classical vocalist’s world of dark secrets when the superstar chorist is brutally killed.

With the body discovered gruesomely suspended from a church tower, Grimm and his cops are confronted by walls daubed in satanic symbols. But as he digs deep to uncover the connection between the occult and the sensational slaying, he fears the killer may be about to make more bloody sacrifices.

Can the gruff detective solve the senseless crime before another victim is singing with the angels?

Death's Requiem is the sinister sixth book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like wonderfully developed characters, Northern English countryside settings, and intelligent conundrums, then you’ll love David J. Gatward’s devilish mystery.

Thought this was the best overall story in the series so far, the narrator's performance was excellent as has been the case throughout the series I have read so far .On to book 7

Excellent

I’m really loving this series, they’re a great mix of gritty crime and humour. I wish I was part of Harry’s team but that’s mostly for the cheese and cake.

Brilliant

The writing of this book with its beautiful descriptions, along with the funny dialogue so beautifully delivered by Aubrey Parsons, more than make up for the somewhat unlikely storyline.
If you are on a diet, best only listen when you are not feeling hungry or you will be off searching for coffee or tea with fruit cake and cheese!
I love these police personnel!

The plot is gritty, no overly gratuitous violence, and the characters are warm and wonderfully familiar! 100 Grimm books wouldn't be enough!

The characters are like family!
