Another good author to add to my list. Gripping story with some twist and turns. The subject is a bit upsetting but unfortunately is becoming all too familiar nowadays. The characters are believable and well described. Despite the dark subject there are some humerous parts. The story was a little slow in places and I did find my mind wondering off a few times and then had to rewind when something relevant happened. The narrator was good and brought the characters to life. I look forward to listening to the next in the series. Recommended.

Really enjoyed it - very dark, gloomy themes and setting of course but very compelling and lifted by a moments of appropriate humour. I haven't listened to many audiobooks in my time but I believe that the narration is excellent with a lot of effort put in to make the characters come to life. The ending seemed abrupt but I haven't read the next one YET so the loose end(ing) may well be addressed in that - I'm looking forward to finding out!

I love all Stuart's books, beautifully written and also expertly narrated by Steve.. a sad tale about child abuse and Logan McRae first outing as a DS. I've read all of his books and now buying them again on Audible. A great series that only gets better (and funnier) with time. highly recommended listen and read
