On the high functioning neurodivergent spectrum, Cece constantly questions others, yet mostly herself, especially after a devastating break up.
She is a captive audience, 30,000 feet above ground, when her boyfriend Robby breaks up on an airplane, en route to Israel, for her third year of rabbinical study. Cece’s constant curiosity sustains her inner spark of life, as she throws herself into one experience after another.
She discovers the meditative mystique of Sefat, and the idyllic charm of the Catskill Mountains, when resorts were at their heyday. It is in New York, that she meets her future husband, Joel. A battle between their hometowns of Los Angeles and New York ensues… But, is it merely geographical?
One therapist after another affirms that it’s more of a relationship issue, and then mysteriously dies. Cece questions whether her marriage is doomed. Ultimately, she must find her own voice and seek her own answers.
