Summary

Milo.

Unusual. Quirky. Different. I’ve heard it all. I’ve accepted I’m not for everyone. Maybe not anyone. When I find out I inherited a bookstore and apartment on a small East Coast island, I jump at the chance for a new life. Turns out I’ve also inherited a sexy, tattooed guy who not only rents the space next to my store for his tattoo parlor but my apartment too.

Did I mention he’s really hot? And surprisingly sweet?

Gideon.

I wasn’t looking for a roommate, but it’s not like I can stay at Milo’s place while he’s banished to a hotel. Our unlikely friendship is instant. According to Milo, we’re bestie goals. And if he doesn’t wear pants at home, who am I to complain?

Milo’s not like anyone I’ve ever known. I like laughing and flirting with him. He’s adorably honest, eager, and sexier than he realizes. Now, I just have to figure out how to convince him that maybe it’s time for an upgrade from bestie to boyfriend goals.

I fell in love with Milo from the first chapter. He is so perfectly different, vulnerable and strong in his own way. Gideon is his perfect match and he too fell in love right from meeting Milo, even if he didn't know it yet. Milo's character is refreshing and beautifully portrayed and I simply loved his complete honesty even if it got him in triuble sometimes.

Iggy Toma was the perfect narrator for this book. He gave life to all Milo's quirks and Gideons complete acceptance of them.

A different lovestory

I loved both Milo and Gideon and the wonderful connection they had. The narration brought the story to life brilliantly, Iggy Toma is the best at this.

Just brilliant

As a fellow neurodivergent, i really enjoyed this story and the perfect autistic representation of how our brains work.

I have ADHD but myself, family and friends also think I have a lot of Autistic traits too, they do usually come hand in hand. It is so difficult to live with, especially when I’m around neurotypical people all the time and they are so easily offended :( I absolutely adore Milo and the way he embraces his autism, it’s the best way to be!
I love his brain and how he speaks nothing but the truth, it’s the absolute best way to be in my opinion,

There’s never any room for doubt, misunderstanding or miscommunication when people just say it as it is!

When it comes to sexy times between Milo and Gideon, I love how open and honest Milo is but o could never 😂 I have a lot of kinks and likes but openly speaking about them is a nope for me. So I admire anyone who can be like that!

As for the story itself (getting off track ofc 🙈) I really enjoyed it and wish there were more chapters around the time they both met and build on their friendship first because it all seemed to happen so quickly after they met 🥺 That’s not a bad thing at all! I just would’ve preferred a longer book so I could read more about them ☺️

Really nice little read 🥺

What it must be like to have no filter on what you say and this story has it all, two wonderful characters who make you laugh.

Very funny but just something sad
