Dean has managed to live a good life and doesn't have many regrets. He also isn't really connected to anyone. He served and paid the price, now he's just trying to make his way.
That all changes when he becomes the victim of strange magic, except Dean isn't the victim type. He quickly realizes the opportunity he's been presented.
As a new dungeon core, he's full of endless potential, but only if he can survive long enough. To do that he'll need to not just grow stronger but he'll have to recruit allies and minions, all so that he won't fall the greed of some drougar.

The main issue i have is with the mc, and the fact that he seems to lack in a lot of common sense related matters. For his job in the military he lacks any insight in strategy and almost always realise on those around him to think up strategies, even asking his summon for advise on things he should have far more experience in. He also doesn't make almost any of the choices around matters related to his own dungeon, almost purely relying on others input.
Another problem is how almost nothing will happen for a good portion of the book then everything happens rather abruptly, which lead to a large amount of downtime where the mc is just asking people about what to do and then doing that exact thing.
The idea and foundation of the story is good, just hope to see a little more independence and decision making without having to be prompted all the time. Honestly if you excluded the fact he calls most of the other characters kids the mc would feel more like one as he feels like someone who's just left school and isn't sure what he wants to do next.
Pretty good
