As soon as we open the door to our beautiful new home, I sense their presence . . . the couple who lived here before us.

They’ve left things behind, as if on purpose, for us to find. First, there is the mysterious diary that ends too abruptly, followed by pictures of a couple in their thirties, just like us. Tired-looking parents with two small children. Who are they?

A somewhat protracted storyline and a bit predictable. Not a fan the gullible portrayal of the female characters in the story.

Disappointing

You really need to concentrate on the characters. Goes between them. Not for me unfortunately. Looked promising too

Too much jumping back and forth

*spoilers, be warned!*. This started very well but soon descended into unbelievable melodrama. The two main female characters set feminism back 60 years and they were both so irritating and stupid that I found myself shouting at my car stereo 🤣 I wasn't rooting for anyone in the end, kinda hoped they would all end up at the bottom of the stairs in a heap. Saw the ending coming a mile off. However, it made my journey to work less tedious for a week and it didn't take up a credit. It was just 'OK'.

Passed the time but a bit silly

Great narration, but too many unlikable characters for me to enjoy. Dual pov, dual timeline with a twist you could see coming very early on.

Quite enjoyed this on the whole but I could spot the main plot twist coming a mile off. I found it quite frustrating in parts. The ending felt rushed and a lot of questions unresolved.
