I really liked the plot, even though it’s a slow burn. The only thing that I didn’t like was the holier than thou attitude of the FMC. I want to read the next books in this series and really hope, that she will be more likeable

Hero or Villian or something in-between. Addict audiobook is narrated by some serious talented vocal artists. Adam Gold's ability and range to play so many characters and each have a distinctive change in tone and accent. He brought each character to life with each of their nuisances on the forefront and very easy to differentiate between them. Then Bridget Bordeaux gave Amorette a voice so moving, you could hear each time she broke down, her frustration and her despair. However under it all she gave Amorette voice the strength the character has.

Book Review

A fantastic start to a dark mafia/cartel romance filled with bødies, angst and suspense.
Amorette, an up-and-coming lawyer, finds herself kidnapped into a s3x träfficking ring.
Being saved by the criminals she has come to hate, only to find herself twisting inside trying not to like them. A push-and-pull relationship unfolds between her and these men.
Lafe is the sensitive one, Grey loves pain and dishing it out, Parker is the youngest and an instigator, then Andre is the protector of the family. Amorettes disrupt their plan of staying under the radar. Shaking things up is turning into a good and bad thing.
Book 1 leaves us on the edge with a serious cliffhanger. A brilliantly written, definite pageturner and unpredictable storyline.
