Dr. Timothy Dale White is a novelist and retired professor based in the Pacific Northwest. He served for 42 years as the founding lead pastor of Washington Cathedral in Redmond, Washington, before retiring to focus on writing and humanitarian work. He is the author of the literary novel The Original Human Beings (Sometimes, in the darkest moments, we can see the brightest lights), published by Archway Publishing, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. The novel explores immigration and defining humanity for the21st century. The book has already received the 2025 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Action & Adventure. Dr. White has authored three previously published books. His earlier audiobook work received the EVVY Award for Audiobook of the Year (2017) from the Colorado Independent Publishers Association. He has also written widely for magazines, journals, and newspapers. His academic background includes Collegiate degrees in psychology, history, theology, archaeology, and philosophy, with graduate and doctoral work completed in the United States and Israel. He has a lifelong interest in the history of the Nez Perce people and a personal love for football, basketball, track, golf, mountain climbing, fishing, hunting and wilderness survival. He lives in Washington State with his wife Jackie. They have three grown children and four grandchildren.
