What did you like most about The Ethical Slut?

Much of the writing is done as if you were being spoken to. So naturally, when narrated as an audiobook, you often are being spoken to directly. A wonderful book and the perfect subject of an audiobook.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Ethical Slut?

Listening to the narrator describe how she fell in love with a woman who at first intimidated her.

I very often laughed out loud in public. Quite embarrassing.

A great book. Even though it may be targetted at women, there is no reason a man cannot enjoy it and glean a great deal of wisdom from it.

I’m not in a poly relationship, nor do I think the life style is for me, but this book is a must for anyone who likes to have no restraints and likes the kinker, exploring, and fun side of sex!

Read by the therapeutic and expressive voices of the authors, this book has been very healing to listen to. It's like a long therapy session for letting go of conditioning around sexuality, including shame of pleasure, guilt of fantasies, preconceptions about gender, ideas on differences in sexual approach between men and women, intimacy and emotionality, what is sex anyway etc etc and importantly how to navigate opening up a relationship including a chapter about jealousy, which really expanded my mind about how complex and multi layered jealousy can be. It presents a very inclusive open and non-prescriptive utopia full of infinite options and possibilities for you to explore individually. I listened to it with my (monogamous) lover to explore the topic of safely and respectfully opening our relationship and our ideas about how relationships are defined in our culture and a more expansive inclusive way. This is now my second favourite book on sexuality to 'Sex at Dawn'... Highly recommend even if you're not considering opening a relationship as informative on human relating and intimacy. love love love! !!

In my opinion this book is mind opening regardless if you embrace the concept or not. All real stories and proposed exercises are so interesting and captivating at the same time. It is unbelievable how much tolerance, kindness and love is in this book...

A great book for anyone interested in learning about sex, relationships, communication, and more about the different lifestyles people choose. I think some of the advice surrounding communication can be extrapolated to any relationships, not just those that fall under polyamory. Not so much a guide, but a well informed look from a very sex positive point of view. A must read for anyone although I personally got a lot from it and learned quite a bit. Don't be ashamed by reading this, embrace the sluttery and get your rocks off by giving it a go!
